What should I expect on the first session?

In the first session we will go over informed consent and explored what you are hoping to address. You are welcome to answer as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
By the end of the session we will have co-created a treatment plan that you feel comfortable with. And there is always space for questions!

For virtual appointments please ensure that you are in a safe confidential space by yourself, for the entirety of the appointment.

What is the cost?

I follow the recommended rate set by Psychologist Association of Alberta which is $220/therapeutic hour.

Alberta Health Services does not cover the cost of sessions.

Question 3

What is the late cancellation and no show policy?

Accepted Answer

24 hours is the requirement for late cancellation and no show policy.  I have set aside that time for you in my schedule and you are responsible for that time. Please provide me with 24 hours notice to avoid any fees.

If you are running late, please call/text or email me to let me know- your session will end at the regular time.

Do you offer a sliding scale fee?

We can certainly discuss different fee options. I offer a limited number spots at a reduced rate.

Can I book a session if I'm travelling or live outside of Alberta?

Accepted Answer

No. I am only registered in Alberta, and can only offer sessions to those who a physically in Alberta at the time of their session.
